Bio: Ashley Franklin, 35, co-manages Orange Blossom Kennel with her husband Jay Allyn. She is excited to be participating in the T-Dog again and CANNOT sait for the sourdough start. When not running dogs, Ashley is a family medicine physician. She enjoys running, weaving and gardening.

Bio: I came to Fairbanks 9 years ago for a seasonal handler job and never left. This is my 8th winter with ATAO Kennel and I am so excited to explore some new trails with my fuzzy friends!

Bio: I began mushing dogs at eight years old with my twin sister and our two cocker spaniels. The addiction of mushing grew from there but I mostly blame it on my dog Lucky and am forever grateful to have spent almost 18 years in her presence. I am beyond blessed for my family, my “mushing mom” Rita Wehseler, the Berington twins, and friends who have helped me pursue dog mushing.

Bio: Hunter Keefe grew up Michigan but came to Alaska to follow his childhood of dream of being a dog musher in 2018. Since then he has competed in two Iditarods and most mid-distance races across the state. This will be his first time racing in the Fairbanks region and first year running a full team of dogs he owns himself.

Bio: I'm originally from Utah, and after falling in love with Alaska as a teenager, I moved here in 2021 and immediately got hooked on mushing while volunteering at the NPS kennel in Denali. I started at Dallas' kennel in 2023 and am so excited for another winter with these dogs!

Bio: Our kennel is Celestial Sled Dogs and we live in the foothills of the Talkeetna mountains. I started mushing 7 years ago and love learning from and spending time with the dogs. My team was raised from pups and this will be their first race! I'm excited to watch them learn and grow at T-Dog and get to spend this amazing weekend with some amazing people!

Bio: Abbey started running dogs at Dew Claw Kennel in Chatanika in 2020. She started building her own distance mushing kennel in Fairbanks in 2022. When not running dogs, Abbey works as a field botanist and her current favorite plant is the round-leaf sundew (Drosera rotundifolia).
Abbey often has a pile of 19 left-handed gloves lying around because the right-handed ones somehow always get lost when she's feeding her dog yard. Most of her dogs are named after Pokemon or horror movie villains.

Bio: Torleif Bentzen is from Fairbanks, AK. He has been mushing his whole life but only began racing in 2024. Whisky Jack’s Kennel began with trapline dogs from Eagle but has expanded to include a lot of second hand dogs from mushers from around the state. Torleif ran the Jr. Iditarod and Solstice 50 with ReRun Kennel in 2024. He ran the T-dog 100 and the Yukon Quest Alaska 80 in 2025 with his own Whisky Jack's dogs.

And I haven't seen most of this country despite living up there since 1989. And I'm president of the Fairbanks Cycle Club. And my wife and several friends are doing it, too. My bike expereince that is noteable is I raced in the River to Ridge 50 miler last year. I aslo have ridden my bike from Seattle to San Diego.

Bio: Bobby Gillis is a Fairbanks nordic skier and geologist who should have chosen to classic when he instead chose to skate, and vice versa. When he’s not on the trail drifting backward through the field, he can be found pretending to play drums for his mates in an as-of-yet un-named band (after 10 years), keeping them out of time and off tempo.

Morgan is origianlly from New York and most recently arrived from Virginia. The joy of spending time behind dogs exploring the great outdoors brought her and her pack back.
