Teams will travel self-supported on the first day from Manley to Nenana. Time spent on the first day of the race does not impact finish position. After a mandatory rest overnight in Nenana, there will be a Sourdough Start. The participants will then race 50 miles on the Tanana River to finish at Trail Breaker Kennel in Fairbanks. This race is open to mushers, bikers, and skiers. (Bikers and skiers may travel straight through without the mandatory rest or Sourdough Start.)
